Daviess Community Hospital has named Jennifer Jerger, RN, CLC, as the second quarter recipient of the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. Jerger, a nurse in the Obstetrics Department and Certified Lactation Counselor, was nominated by patient Rachel Raber, who praised her compassion and support during a difficult pregnancy and delivery. Raber credited Jerger with making her experience much easier, calling her “confident, wise and kind.” Jerger was recognized in a ceremony at DCH, where she received a certificate, DAISY Award pin, and the traditional “A Healer’s Touch” sculpture.
