The United Way of Daviess County has provided the Odon Police Department with a new drug disposal container, giving residents a safe place to drop off expired or unused medications. The container is available Monday through Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Along with the disposal site, educational brochures listing safe drop-off locations for medications and needles will be distributed. UWDC also plans to provide seniors with sharps containers, disposal kits, and lock boxes for securely storing medications at home.
