A year-long investigation by the Indiana State Police has led to the arrest of Michael S. Anderson, 47, of West Baden Springs, on multiple child molesting charges. The investigation began in July 2024 after authorities received reports alleging Anderson had molested a child. Detective Tyler Matthew conducted the investigation and presented findings to the Orange County Prosecutor’s Office, which resulted in an arrest warrant being issued. On Friday, August 15, around 4 p.m., Anderson was taken into custody at his workplace without incident. He was booked into the Orange County Jail, where he is being held on bond. Anderson faces five counts of Child Molesting – Forcible Rape, Class A Felony. The case was investigated by the Indiana State Police, with assistance from Trooper Steven Nolan and the Orleans Police Department.
