Authorities have disrupted a Corvette theft ring after recovering one stolen ZR1 Corvette in Loogootee and another in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Both vehicles were stolen from the General Motors Corvette Plant in Bowling Green. Police arrested 20-year-old Daedrin Cook of Detroit on charges including engaging in organized crime and theft. This marks the second theft at the plant this year, with both cars recovered. In a separate incident, Martin County deputies searched for 26-year-old Dennis T. Smith after a Saturday morning pursuit and crash in Loogootee. Smith, considered armed and dangerous, was last seen near Pizza Junction before authorities believe he fled to Bowling Green, Kentucky. Investigators have not confirmed if the two cases are connected.
