
Clarence Canady, Jr., 89, of Loogootee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Poplar Care Health Strategies in Loogootee, Indiana surrounded by his family.
Born on October 18, 1935 in Linton, Indiana, he was the beloved son of Cecil Ray and Pearl (Wright) Canady. On July 4, 1957, Clarence married Daisy Mae Harper. He made his career as truck driver and retired from Jefferson Trucking after logging in an impressive 1 million miles. He loved dancing and was a member of White River Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Mae, his parents, Cecil and Pearl Canady; siblings: Sally (Emman) Harold and Mary (Bob) Merry.
Clarence is loving remembered by his sons: Kelvin Eugene Canady, and his former wife, Patricia Canady, both of Loogootee, Indiana; Clarence Ray (Terri) Canady of Columbus, Indiana; grandchildren: Cecil Canady, Ashley Alford, Renee (Josh) McGaha, Tyler (Delilah) Canady, Kyle Risley (fiancée Mika Leiendecker), Kayla Risley (fiancée Kyle Fittz), and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 23, 2025 at 1PM at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana with Pastor Ed Frost officiating. Burial to follow at Kilgore Cemetery (Daviess Co, IN).
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to time of service at 1 PM at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
