The Pike County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on June 16 to approve a Memorandum of Understanding with RISE Peer Recovery, clearing the way for the organization to receive funding for its first year of operations in the county. The funding, which would come from remaining Opioid Settlement Relief funds, would be provided at no cost to taxpayers. The proposal now moves to the County Council for final approval. A vote is scheduled for Tuesday, July 8, at 8:30 a.m. in the Courthouse Auditorium. The Pike County Prosecutor’s Office thanked the commissioners for their support and thoughtful discussion.
