On the afternoon of Tuesday, May 20, motorists in Gibson County should expect brief traffic delays as the Indiana State Police temporarily shut down portions of US 41 and I-64 near Warrenton Road. The closures are to accommodate several hundred motorcyclists traveling from California to Washington, D.C., as part of a cross-country journey to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The group is scheduled to arrive at the Flying J Travel Center around 2:15 p.m. for a gas stop and short break before continuing east on I-64 to Corydon. Road closures near US 41 and Warrenton Road are expected to last no more than 10 minutes around 2:15 p.m. and again around 3:00 p.m. Supporters are welcome to cheer on the riders but are reminded to find safe viewing areas off the roadway, as parking along I-64 is prohibited.
