A two-vehicle crash on Thursday evening in rural Daviess County sent one woman to the hospital with reported chest and stomach pain. The accident occurred around 7:06 p.m. at the intersection of County Roads 400 North and 650 East near Montgomery, when a van reportedly pulled out in front of a pickup truck. Emergency crews from Montgomery and Cannelburg responded, along with two medical units. The woman injured was the driver of the pickup and was not trapped, though airbags deployed and seatbelt injuries were noted. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were towed from the scene. A state accident report has been filed.
