An Evansville man has been arrested following a high-speed motorcycle pursuit on I-69 earlier this month. According to Indiana State Police, Master Trooper Finney attempted to stop a motorcyclist on April 19 after spotting the rider speeding northbound near Lynch Road. The suspect, later identified as 21-year-old Zakei Amad Rasheed, evaded law enforcement by passing vehicles on the shoulder at over 100 mph and disappearing near the SR 68 exit. Investigators later identified Rasheed and executed a search warrant at his residence, recovering a 2025 Suzuki motorcycle, a helmet, and a backpack matching those seen during the incident. Rasheed was not home at the time but turned himself in on April 28 after a warrant was issued. He faces charges including resisting law enforcement with a vehicle (Level 6 felony), reckless and aggressive driving (misdemeanors), and multiple traffic infractions. Rasheed has since posted bond and been released from the Vanderburgh County Jail.
