Jack Murrie, a student at North Daviess High School, has been named the 2025 Lilly Endowment Community Scholar for Daviess County. The prestigious scholarship covers full tuition, required fees, and up to $900 per year for books and equipment for four years at an eligible Indiana college or university. Murrie was awarded the scholarship after the originally selected recipient, Brynna Knepp, declined the offer in favor of the University of Southern Indiana’s Presidential Scholarship. Funded by Lilly Endowment Inc., the program has provided more than 5,300 Indiana students with scholarships since its launch in 1997.
