On Sunday evening, August 6th, Trooper Jonathan Villanueva and Jasper Police were called to an incident involving a moving domestic dispute in Jasper. The Jasper Police Department swiftly located the vehicle near Kirkwood Apartments. During their interaction with the driver, Victor Hugo Valdez Cruz, signs of impairment were evident, and Valdez Cruz failed the administered field sobriety tests. Jasper Memorial Hospital confirmed Valdez Cruz’s blood alcohol concentration to be .129.
