Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana, has partnered with The Milk Bank to offer a new service to the community. As of May 1, Memorial Hospital is a Milk Express site, where families can conveniently pick up pasteurized donor human milk (PDHM) ordered from The Milk Bank. Previously, outpatient families had to travel to Evansville or Indianapolis to collect their orders. The Milk Express site will help bridge a gap and offer parents a sense of relief, especially for newborns born prematurely or late who need additional access to breast milk to avoid infections and promote development.
