Another fire early this morning damaged two homes on West Walnut Street in Washington. Dispatch records say firefighters were called shortly before 1:30 a.m. and found homes at 2002 and 2004 West Walnut involved, with structures reported fully engulfed. Washington City and Washington Township firefighters responded, with additional assistance requested from Vincennes-area departments. Police collected cameras from one of the properties, and a witness reported seeing two people dressed in black riding bicycles in the area. The State Fire Marshal’s Office was contacted, and the investigation remains ongoing.
