Emergency crews responded early this morning to a property damage accident at the intersection of West 600 North and North 150 West after a tractor sprayer struck a utility pole. According to dispatch reports, the collision brought down power lines, which reportedly landed on the tractor. The driver was able to exit the vehicle safely on his own and no injuries were reported. REMC and Duke Energy were notified and responded to the scene. The damaged pole also affected a nearby railroad crossing, prompting officials to contact the railroad and temporarily halt train traffic until the area could be secured. Emergency personnel remained on scene for several hours as utility crews worked to address the downed lines and damaged pole.
