Additional Charges Sought in Huntingburg Child Exploitation Case; Clarksville Man Faces Drug Charges

The Dubois County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a third motion to amend charges against Garrett T. Jaquett, 35, of Huntingburg, seeking to add 11 counts of Possession of Child Sex Abuse Material. If approved by the court, Jaquett would face a total of 22 charges. He is currently being held on a $125,000 cash-only bond set by Dubois Circuit Court. In a separate case, Corey D. Ballard, 36, of Clarksville, appeared in Dubois Superior Court on July 13 after being taken into custody in Dubois County on July 9. Ballard has been charged with Level 2 felony Dealing in Methamphetamine, Level 4 felony Dealing in a Narcotic Drug, Possession of Marijuana, and False Informing. Judge Anthony Quinn set Ballard’s bond at $50,000 cash only. If released, Ballard would be subject to enhanced pretrial monitoring through Dubois County Community Corrections and required to abstain from drugs and alcohol while submitting to random screenings.
