A New Albany man was arrested Wednesday night in Crawford County following a disturbance in the Marengo area. Indiana State Police say troopers and deputies responded around 10:05 p.m. to reports of a man in the roadway yelling at passing motorists. Officers identified the man as 39-year-old Mark Durbin. Police say Durbin became hostile when approached and allegedly waved a large sharp object toward officers before fleeing on foot. After a brief pursuit, troopers deployed an electronic control device and took him into custody. Durbin was evaluated by EMS at the scene and then transported to the Crawford County Jail. He faces charges including intimidation with a deadly weapon, resisting law enforcement, public intoxication, and disorderly conduct.
