Ronald “Ron” Dean Davis

Ronald “Ron” Dean Davis, 79, of Loogootee, Indiana passed away peacefully on Monday March 30, 2026, at Deaconess Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Indiana surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 4, 1946, in Shoals, Indiana to Charles F. and Lillian A. (Carrico) Davis.

Ron graduated from Loogootee High School. Following graduation, he honorably served his country in the United States Army as a Specialist E-4 in heavy artillery, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. After his military service, Ron dedicated over 20 years of hard work to Kimball International until his retirement. He later enjoyed working as a salesman as Jeff’s Bait and Gun Store in Jasper, Indiana where he formed many friendships. Ron enjoyed being outdoors and found great joy in spending time with his family and grandchildren. He will be remembered for his dedication, his service, and will be missed by all that knew him.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lillian, his siblings, Scott Davis, Dwight Davis, Larry Davis, Jackie Davis, Edward Davis, Marty Davis, Mary Davis, Karen Wagler, Barbara Spurgeon, and Mariam Porter.

He is survived by his sons, Jason (Michelle) Davis of Loogootee, Indiana, and Jeff Davis of Evansville, Indiana, his grandchildren, Tyler and Marissa Davis, Taylor Davis, Emma Davis (Jack Fry), Willow Wheatley, great- grandson, Oliver Davis, his brothers, Greg (Debbie) Davis of Loogootee, Indiana, and Richard Davis of Washington, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday April 2, 2026, at 11:00 A.M at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana with Pastor Debbie Davis to officiate. Friends may visit on Thursday from 9:00 A.M until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial and military rites will follow in Goodwill Cemetery in Loogootee, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Dubois County Shrine Club in memory of Ron Davis.
