Indiana State Comptroller Elise Nieshalla recently brought together local government leaders for a statewide roundtable focused on improving how tax revenues are distributed and managed. The meeting included county and municipal officials from across Indiana, including Daviess County Auditor Jennifer Welsh. Discussions centered on upcoming changes to excise tax and settlement procedures, as well as ways to improve training resources and streamline financial processes through technology. Nieshalla said feedback from local officials helps guide efforts to ensure tax dollars are distributed accurately and efficiently across the state.
