A three-day law enforcement operation targeting online child predators in Shelbyville resulted in 11 arrests, according to the Shelby County Prosecutor’s Office. The investigation, led by the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, involved more than 75 officers from over 20 agencies. Undercover officers posed as minors online to identify suspects attempting to meet for illegal activity. Authorities say most of those arrested traveled to Shelbyville expecting to meet minors. During the operation, investigators also identified and rescued an infant from abuse. The child is now safe, and additional charges are pending in that case. Officials say the operation highlights the importance of monitoring online activity and continued efforts to protect children from exploitation.
