As the Barr-Reeve Vikings basketball team keeps winter sports alive, the spring sports practices have all begun and scrimmages and 1st contests get going later in the week, Shake Broadcasting will be your home for high school sports in the area. 
Geno Auriemma and UConn were named the top overall seed in the women’s NCAA tournament. The Huskies went 34-0 and rolled to blowout after blowout in the Big East. UConn’s average margin of victory in the regular season was 38 points. The Huskies had only one game finish within single digits (in November vs. Michigan). They cruised to a 39-point win over Villanova to claim the Big East tournament title last week. The other #1 seeds are UCLA, Texas and South Carolina. The First Four games will be played Wednesday and Thursday night at on-campus sites. The first round of NCAA play will then be played on Friday and Saturday. There will be two games on each night of First Four play and 16 games on each day of the first round.
