The Being for Others Health and Wellness Foundation (BFO) has launched a new Rapid Response Grants program following a recent partnership that helped support Head Start services in Daviess County. During a federal funding delay tied to the 2025 government shutdown, BFO provided temporary financial assistance to PACE Community Action Agency, ensuring Head Start programs continued serving nearly 300 children and families in the region. Foundation officials say the new grant program is designed to provide quick, short-term funding to organizations facing unexpected challenges. The grants will be available year-round to eligible nonprofits, schools, and government entities serving the region.
