A Crane man has been charged following a road rage incident in Pike County. According to the Pike County Prosecutor’s Office, Vincent Hunter Romero, 41, was arrested March 12 after police responded to a report of a driver pointing an AR-15 at another motorist on State Road 61 near River Road. The caller told police Romero pointed the rifle following a verbal exchange on the roadway. Authorities say Romero denied presenting the firearm, but officers located two additional firearms in his vehicle and discovered he was under an active Martin County protective order prohibiting him from possessing firearms. Romero was taken to the Pike County Security Center and charged with Pointing a Loaded Firearm, a Level 6 felony, and Invasion of Privacy, a Class A misdemeanor. He is currently being held on a $50,000 bond with 10 percent permitted. Officials remind the public that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
