Two Missing Adults Found Dead in Flooded Vehicle in Lawrence County

death_investigation-2

Two adults who had been reported missing over the weekend were found dead Tuesday after their vehicle was discovered in floodwaters in Lawrence County. Lawrence County Sheriff Greg Day said a missing persons report was filed Sunday evening for 21-year-old Kasee Allman of Bedford and 35-year-old Jesse Brock of Leesville. Family members told authorities they had not heard from the pair since Saturday night. Investigators said the two were last known to be traveling from Paoli to Brock’s home near Leesville. Cellphone location data placed them near Earl Road and Lawrenceport Road around 10 p.m. Saturday, but no additional data was available after that time. Search crews began looking for the pair, but flooded roadways in the area complicated efforts. Deputies were assisted by Indiana Conservation Officers and Indiana State Police, using boats, drones, helicopters, and sonar equipment. On Tuesday morning, conservation officers located the truck in floodwaters with both individuals inside. Authorities have now shifted the case to a death investigation.
