Authorities have released new details about the fatal crash Tuesday morning in Pike County. Officials say the victim was a 17-year-old male from Glezen who died in the head-on collision on State Road 57 north of County Road 200 South, between Petersburg and Oakland City. The crash happened shortly after 9 a.m. when two pickup trucks collided. The roadway was closed for about two hours while emergency crews and investigators worked at the scene. The driver of the other pickup truck was transported to a hospital in Evansville for treatment. An update on that driver’s condition has not been released, and the name of the teenage victim has not yet been made public.
