Shoals Community School Corporation has added a new FEMA-approved tornado shelter to its campus.
The shelter, which also includes two new classrooms, makes Shoals just the second school in Indiana to have a FEMA tornado shelter.
Local leaders say the addition enhances safety for students and staff while benefiting the entire community.
