Knox County has earned StormReady® designation from the National Weather Service Indianapolis Office.
The certification confirms Knox County meets national standards for emergency communications, public alert systems, hazardous weather planning, and coordination with trained weather spotters and NWS partners.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to sign up for Knox County CodeRED emergency alerts to receive severe weather warnings and public safety notifications directly to their phones.
