The Loogootee Police Department is investigating a report of suspicious activity involving a vehicle in a westside neighborhood. Police say on February 19, officers received information that a man driving a white Toyota Camry pulled into a residential area and motioned for a juvenile female at a nearby home to approach his vehicle. The child’s mother immediately brought her inside, and the vehicle left the area a short time later. Officers have also received additional reports of suspicious vehicles slowing down or stopping near homes while children were outside. Police say they are conducting extra patrols and continuing to gather information.
