The Knox County Council has approved funding for the Knox County Sheriff’s Department to install Flock Safety license plate recognition cameras throughout the county. Sheriff Doug Vantlin says the cameras are intended to strengthen public safety efforts by helping deputies identify vehicles connected to criminal activity. Six cameras will be installed at high-traffic locations along major county roadways. An installation schedule has not yet been released.
