Youth Mental Health First Aid Course Set for March 3 in Vincennes

Purdue Extension Knox County will host a Youth Mental Health First Aid course for adults who work with youth on Tuesday, March 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the VU Agricultural Center in Vincennes. The $50 course is offered at a discounted rate through support from Glick Philanthropies and requires participants to complete two hours of online pre-work before attending the in-person session. Registration is open through Tuesday February 17. The training provides practical skills for recognizing and responding to youth mental health challenges and offers continuing education credit for several licensed professionals. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion.

When: Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm EST.
Where: VU Agricultural Center, Room 102, 4207 N Purdue Rd., Vincennes, IN 47591.
Cost: $50 The registration fee for this course is offered at a discounted rate as a service to our community by Purdue Extension and funded by Glick Philanthropies.

This is a blended/hybrid course. You must complete two hours of self-paced online pre-work prior to attending the in-person portion of the class.
CEUs: Mental Health First Aid can offer contact continuing education hours for certain professionals. Purdue University is an approved provider of Category 1 Continuing Education for all of the following pursuant to Indiana Code 25-1-4-0.2:
– Mental Health Counselors and Associates
– Marriage and Family Therapists and Associates
– Social Workers, Clinical Social Workers and Associates
– Addiction Counselors, Clinical Addiction Counselors and Associates
All participants receive a certificate upon completion of the full course.
