The Indiana Department of Natural Resources will host a public workshop in Washington on February 26 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Washington Community Building as part of efforts to develop Indiana’s statewide water inventory and management plan under Governor Mike Braun’s Executive Order. The session will gather public input on regional water planning, improved monitoring networks, and the creation of an online water data platform. State officials say the plan is designed to ensure Indiana’s water resources are managed for both current and future needs. Local officials, utilities, businesses, farmers, conservation groups, and residents are encouraged to attend. RSVPs are requested, and additional feedback can be submitted by email to the DNR.
