The Daviess County Highway Department has announced a 10-ton load limit will take effect February 11, 2026 due to recent extreme temperatures impacting road conditions. The restriction will remain in place until further notice. Load permits are available online at daviess.org or can be picked up in person at the Highway Department. Officials say the measure is intended to help protect the county’s roadways during vulnerable winter conditions.
