Martin County Renames Emergency Management Building for Monty Wolf

martin-county-2

Martin County Commissioners have officially named the county’s Emergency Management Building in honor of longtime emergency services leader Cameron “Monty” Wolf, recognizing more than 50 years of service to the community. Wolf began volunteering in the early 1970s alongside his father and later became Director of Emergency Services when his father retired in 1988. Over the decades, he served as Chief of Martin County Fire & Rescue, Director of the EMA, and a volunteer firefighter and emergency coordinator. He also helped secure equipment and grants that strengthened the county’s emergency response capabilities. His leadership guided Martin County through major events including the Blizzard of 1978, recent winter storms, floods, tornadoes, and countless emergencies. Wolf said the recognition came as a complete surprise and said he’s grateful to be remembered for helping people during their hardest moments. The facility will now be known as the Cameron “Monty” Wolf Emergency Services Building, honoring a lifetime commitment to protecting Martin County.
