Snowstorm Forces Game Changes; Cochren Explains What Comes Next for Schools

With the snowstorm of 2026, many schools are dealing with trying to find room to make up games in this final week of the girls’ basketball season.  This weekend on Focus on the Community, Washington Athletic Director and member of the IHSAA Board of Directors Larry Cochren is our guest, and he discusses what is to come for the second half of the school year for high school sports.  As for making up games following the storm, Cochren says it is a school to school policy and some may still squeeze in a game despite not having school for the day, but most will not….

The Washington girls’ game with Gibson Southern was postponed last night, and tomorrow’s Senior Night Game at home tonight may be in jeopardy as well.  Hear our full interview with Larry Cochren this weekend on Focus on the Community on WAMW.
