Anthony “Tony” Wayne Raney

Anthony “Tony” Wayne Raney, 55, of Danville, Indiana passed away peacefully on Sunday January 25, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born on January 2, 1971, in Washington, Indiana to Gary and Bonita (Blake) Raney.

Tony was baptized in the Nazarene Church, and he was a graduate of Loogootee High School. Following graduation, he proudly joined the United States Navy.

Tony had a love for cooking and enjoyed many hours playing Yahtzee with family and friends. In his younger years, he worked as a DJ, sharing his appreciation for music with others. He also enjoyed watching movies, playing video games, and listening to music. Above all else, Tony loved spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.

Tony is preceded in death by his father, Gary Raney of Loogootee, Indiana, his uncle, James “Jim” Blake of Washington, Indiana, his fraternal grandparents, Henry L. and Edith Ione (Harris) Raney from Alfordsville, Indiana, his maternal grandparents, Raymond J. and Martha H. (Spears) Blake of Loogootee, Indiana.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Hudson) Raney, his daughters, Kylie S. (Gabe) Gladish of Washington, Indiana, and Ashlee D. (Jake Dumond) Raney of Washington, Indiana, his grandson, Stephen Fritz Gladish, his mother, Bonita S. Raney of Loogootee, Indiana, his sister, Lucretia M. Raney of Bedford, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday January 31, 2026, at 1:00 P.M at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana with Chaplain Tom Richason to officiate. Burial will follow in Alfordsville Community Cemetery.

Friends may visit on Saturday January 31, 2026, from 11:00 A.M until the time of service at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Martin County Humane Society in memory of Tony’s love for animals.
