Vincennes police have released additional details following an attempted murder investigation early Sunday morning. Officers were called around midnight to a 911 hang-up at a home in the 500 block of East Scott Street, where a caller could be heard saying he needed police. After arriving on scene and being unable to make contact at the residence, officers learned from a neighbor that the man inside had called multiple times claiming he had been shot. Police entered the home and found a man in an upstairs bedroom suffering from several apparent gunshot wounds. The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Junior S. Theodore, was later located at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. After being medically cleared, Theodore was taken into custody and transported to the Knox County Jail on a charge of attempted murder. The investigation is ongoing, and all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
