Knox County Sheriff’s Office Releases 2025 Year-End Activity Report

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office handled more than 10,000 calls for service in 2025, according to its year-end report. Sheriff’s officials say deputies responded to 10,670 calls throughout the year. The most common calls were traffic stops, totaling nearly 2,900, followed by 687 vehicle crashes. Deputies also frequently handled animal complaints, disabled or abandoned vehicles, welfare checks, burglar alarms, and reports of reckless driving. The department reported 924 arrests in 2025. Deputies also served more than 3,100 subpoenas and 166 protective orders during the year. Deputy Tyler Kitchell was recognized for serving the most subpoenas, with 782 completed.
