Drivers in Gibson County should be prepared for intermittent lane closures on U.S. 41 near Princeton as part of an ongoing bridge replacement project. INDOT says beginning around Monday, January 12, traffic will be slowed in the southbound lanes between County Road 100 West and County Road 300 South during bridge beam deliveries. Additional intermittent traffic stops are expected January 14 and 16 for beam setting operations, with multiple short delays lasting 10 to 15 minutes each. Law enforcement and contractors will manage traffic flow, and message boards will be in place to alert drivers. All work is weather dependent, and motorists are reminded to use caution in the work zone.
