The National Weather Service Wind Advisory remains in effect through 5 p.m. today as strong winds move into the area. West winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour are expected, with gusts reaching up to 45 miles per hour. The gusty conditions could blow around unsecured objects, bring down tree limbs, and lead to isolated power outages. Drivers are urged to use extra caution, especially those operating high-profile vehicles. Residents are also encouraged to secure outdoor items and holiday decorations ahead of the strong winds.

Indiana is bracing for a sharp temperature plunge to start the workweek, with forecasters predicting a dramatic 40 to 50-degree drop by this morning. National Weather Service meteorologists in Indianapolis say temperatures will begin the day in the low 20s, with highs today struggling to reach the mid-20s amid gusty winds and possible snow showers. The rest of the week will feel more like a typical Indiana winter, with mostly dry but cold conditions expected Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will reach around 31 on Tuesday and near 40 on Wednesday. A slight chance of snow could mix in Wednesday night into Thursday, but most of the week is expected to remain dry.
