jasper-police-2

An updated police report provides additional details in the case involving Adam Anders II following a domestic disturbance and vehicle pursuit on December 19. Jasper Police were called to a residence on West Andrew Lane for a reported physical altercation between Anders and another male. Before officers arrived, Anders reportedly left the scene in a silver Chevrolet Impala. Police later located the vehicle and attempted to make contact, but Anders fled, leading officers on a pursuit through several area roads before stopping near a cemetery on West Shiloh Road. After a brief standoff, Anders exited the vehicle and was taken into custody. Authorities say Anders had allegedly battered the other individual involved and made concerning statements prior to the pursuit. He was taken for medical treatment and is expected to face charges including resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, a Level 6 felony, and domestic battery, a misdemeanor. After being discharged from Deaconess Memorial Hospital, Anders allegedly resisted officers as they attempted to take him into custody on the prior charges. Police report Anders sustained self-inflicted head and facial injuries during the encounter and continued to resist while being transported to the Dubois County Security Center.
