Two Charged After Shooting During Alleged Robbery in Brown County

Two people have been charged following a shooting that injured two men during an alleged robbery at the Dollar General in Bean Blossom on December 13, according to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office. Officers arrived to find Kayden Barnard of Anderson and Corbyn Harris of Brown County/Martinsville suffering from gunshot wounds. Investigators say Barnard had traveled to the area to sell a firearm when he was allegedly robbed by Trey Boyd of Brown County, Harris, and a juvenile. During the incident, Barnard was shot and returned fire, striking Harris. Both men were hospitalized with serious injuries. Boyd and the juvenile fled but were located and detained later that day. Following additional investigation, Prosecutor Ted Adams filed Level 2 felony robbery charges against Boyd and Harris. The juvenile faces charges in juvenile court. Authorities emphasize all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
