INDOT Begins Construction Planning for Mid-States Corridor Project

mid-states

The Indiana Department of Transportation is moving into the construction planning phase of the Mid-States Corridor, hosting an Industry Day today to brief contractors and suppliers on project schedules, contract details, and procurement plans. The 54-mile corridor will connect I-64 near Dale to I-69 in Martin County, with the first 24-mile segment set to create a high-capacity route between I-64 and Haysville. INDOT’s phased strategy prioritizes early work between State Roads 162 and 164. The agency issued a Request for Information in September as it works toward a goal of breaking ground in mid-2027. Tier 2 environmental and design studies are underway and expected to conclude in summer 2027.  More information is available at MidStatesCorridor.com.
