
Communities across Senate District 39 will receive over $6.4 million in new funding to upgrade local roads and bridges through Indiana’s Community Crossings Matching Grant Program (CCMG), State Sen. Eric Bassler (R-Washington) announced this week. The statewide program, created in 2016 by the Indiana General Assembly, supports local infrastructure projects and has awarded more than $2 billion in matching funds since its launch. The Indiana Department of Transportation provides up to $1 million annually to participating communities, with match rates based on population size.
District 39 communities receiving grants include:
Bicknell – $959,797.60
Bloomfield – $349,716
Daviess County – $1,000,000
Jasonville – $260,322
Linton – $1,000,000
Loogootee – $1,000,000
Martin County – $727,054.40
Newberry – $45,620.37
Oaktown – $75,562.65
Sullivan County – $1,000,000
Through the program, the Indiana Department of Transportation matches up to $1 million annually when localities invest in road and bridge repairs.
