The City of Loogootee has announced temporary parking restrictions and a long-term road closure to accommodate upcoming holiday activities. No parking will be allowed on Sunday, December 7, from U.S. 231 east to Church Street, extending down to the St. John’s parking lot to keep the parade route clear. In addition, SE 1st Street from Church Street to the railroad tracks is now closed and will remain shut down through the New Year as part of event preparations. The parade kicks off at 6 pm Sunday in Loogootee.
