
The Pike County 4-H Council and Pike County Chamber of Commerce will host the first annual Opportunity Fair on Thursday, December 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the 4-H Fairgrounds in Hornady Park. Designed to connect young people and adults with real-world career options, the event will bring together trade unions, training programs, military branches, and regional employers. Representatives are expected from the National Guard, Army, Navy, Air Force, Local trade unions, CDL training programs, beauty schools, major manufacturers, health systems, and more. The event will also offer résumé help, job application support, interview tips, and a table highlighting local job openings. Pike County Chamber Executive Director Jill Hyneman said interest from employers has been overwhelming. The Opportunity Fair is free and open to students, homeschoolers, and adults considering a career change.
