
Fire crews from several departments were called to a shed fire behind a home on SE 11th Street in Washington Tuesday night. The fire was reported around 8:33 p.m., with the caller stating the building was fully engulfed and that a dog was trapped inside. Units from Washington, Veale, Montgomery, Plainville, Southeast, and multiple EMS teams responded. Tankers were requested to help supply water as crews worked to bring the blaze under control. Firefighters confirmed all occupants were out of the residence. An excavator was later brought in to assist with overhaul. The fire was declared under control shortly before 10 p.m. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
