Fire crews were called out just after 1 a.m. Sunday to a barn fire north of Washington after a passerby on I-69 reported seeing flames. The Washington Township Fire Department arrived to find the structure fully engulfed. Mutual aid tankers and additional manpower were requested from Plainville, Montgomery, and Cannelburg fire departments. Firefighters remained on the scene until about 5:30 a.m. No injuries were reported. Agencies assisting included Daviess County Central Dispatch, Daviess Community Hospital EMS, Daviess County EMA, and the Plainville, Montgomery, and Cannelburg fire departments.
