The City of Loogootee will close a portion of Green Street beginning Monday, November 17, as crews start work on a storm sewer improvement project. Green Street will be shut down to through traffic between North Line Street and North Clark Street each weekday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The road will reopen to the public after working hours, and the daytime closures will continue until the project is finished. Residents who live within the closed section will still be able to access their driveways, but the city urges motorists to use caution when entering the work zone. Officials thank the community for its patience during the construction.
