NFL kicking has progressed to where 60-yard field goals are routine. With four seconds left in the first half against the Las Vegas Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little kicked a record 68-yard field goal that would have been good from 70-plus, setting a new NFL record.

The Miami Dolphins have traded edge rusher Jaelan Phillips to the Philadelphia Eagles for a 2026 third-round pick. The Eagles have now made three trades in the past week, leading up to Tuesday’s deadline. They previously acquired cornerbacks Michael Carter II and Jaire Alexander in an effort to improve a defense ranked 23rd in the NFL.
In an attempt to fix their struggling offense, Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has again given up offensive play-calling duties, the same thing he did last year. Offensive coordinator Tommy Rees will take over starting Sunday against the New York Jets.

MLB free agency has officially kicked off, just days after the World Series concluded, with three of the league’s biggest names becoming free agents. Boston Red Sox third baseman Alex Bregman, New York Mets closer Edwin Díaz, and Mets first baseman Pete Alonso have all reportedly opted out of their contracts.
