CROSS COUNTRY STATE FINALS
There were 250 boys in the IHSAA’s 80th state cross-country meet Saturday. It came down to two: Calvin Seitz from Springs Valley and Noah Bontrager from Westview. Seitz wins it by two-hundredths of a second, 15:01.22 to 15:01.24. The boys team state champion is Columbus North. The Barr Reeve Vikings finished 24th with Paxton Traylor as the top finisher in 86th place with a 16:21. Carmel is the girls team champion and the girls individual champion was Libby Dowty of Indian Creek.
NFL
Colts lose to the Steelers 27-20 having an uncharacteristic 6 turnovers. The Steelers stated their main goal was to slow down Jonathan Taylor and they did that holding him to 45 rushing yards. Despite the fumbles and interceptions, Daniel Jones did have 342 passing yards most of which went to Alec Pierce and Michael Pittman Jr. who each had 115 yards receiving. Next week the Colts travel to Berlin to take on the Atlanta Falcons, 9:30 am eastern time on the NFL Network.
