Daviess County Councilman Mike Myers, who has represented District 3 since 2010, announced Thursday that he will not seek another term when his current one ends in December 2026. Myers said it has been an honor to serve residents of District 3, which includes all of Harrison and Reeve townships and five precincts in Washington. He highlighted the council’s fiscal responsibility and major accomplishments during his tenure, including the construction of the Daviess County Government Center and renovation of the nearly century-old courthouse. “With these two major projects completed, I feel this is a good time to make way for a new generation of leadership,” Myers said. He will continue to serve through the remainder of his current term.
